A well-worn utility quilt from the late nineteenth century begged to be remade. If you’ve never attempted curved piecing, don’t let this pattern deter you- it’s really simple!I chose to tie the quilt as the original, but if you prefer to hand or machine quilt, in keeping with its humble origins, a simple allover pattern is all you need. Instead of a separate binding, simply turn the backing fabric to the front and blind stitch down.If you’ve got plenty of scraps, use them up here to make room in your stash for new fabrics. If you’re new to quilting and don’t have scraps, this is fat quarter friendly; simply purchase one fat quarter for every two blocks in your quilt!Pattern includes instructions and yardage for wall quilt, crib, twin, full, queen and king sizes Designed by Barbara Chojnacki
