Turtles are great! They remind us to slow the pace of our busy lives & remain persistent in the long race. Measuring 44.25" square, Turtles Afloat combines some paper foundation piecing with traditional piecing & a bit of machine applique to create a colorful quilt of turtles quietly floating along in a water garden of lily pads. We used 5-6 blue fabrics for our water & 3-4 green prints for the lily pads with red fabrics for the turtle heads & legs. Isn't it about time for you to slow down & join these floating turtles?
