For many years, the bright fabrics used to make sacks for sugar, flour or feed were then washed & used for children's clothing & aprons while the scraps were used in quilts. While old feed sack fabrics can still be found, many of the fabrics available today are easily adapted for an antique-look. Whether you choose old or new fabrics, they'll combine nicely with these traditional designs to create bright & cheerful quilts. Our Feedsacks pattern contains the Little Quilt Primer full of hints & tips as well as directions & templates for seven quilting projects (shown clockwise from upper left): Feedsack Fan Quilt (17.5" x 22.5"), Basket Medallion Quilt (22" square), Little Fan Pillows in basket (5" square), Antique Nine Patch Quilt (12" x 15"), Hearts & Nine Patch Quilt in bear's lap (18.5" x 24") with Flower Basket Pillow (8" square) & the Feedsack Fan Pillow in wooden box (8" square). Designed by Alice Berg, Sylvia Johnson, and Mary Ellen Von Holt of Little Quilts.
