The charming elephants in this pattern may be constructed in two ways. In one quilt, elephant trunks and ears are gathered to mimic natural wrinkles. The second version uses applique combined with contrasting buttonhole stitch embroidered around the applique edges. Direction for machine and hand applique are included.
