Allegheny County Quilt Pattern

Women and girls from western Pennsylvania’s Allegheny County, where I was born and raised, played an important part in the Civil War. Many worked in a local factory making bullet cartridges to supply the troops. Unfortunately, a tragedy known as the Allegheny Arsenal Explosion killed almost 80 women on the Northern Home Front. The pattern includes easy directions for making the 3” star blocks. Finished size: 27” x 31” Designed By Carol Hopkins
