Block of the Month

Who administers the Block of the Month Programs?
The staff of Prairieland Quilts, our sister operation which is a quilt shop in East Central Illinois.

What can I expect to receive each month?
Block of the Month - Every month you will receive the author's original pattern and all the fabrics needed to complete the block you have selected. In some cases, the first month may include fabrics needed for the entire quilt and may cost a little more. The final month will include a border and finishing kit if needed.

Fabric Clubs - Every month you will receive the described quantity of fabric in the cut size ordered.

If I start a BOM in a month other than January, will I finish the whole quilt?
YES. It doesn't matter which block is your first block, you will receive a block each month until the project you have enrolled in is finished.

Can I choose the fabrics I want?
No. The fabrics shipped (whenever possible) will be the color and print recommended by the pattern designer or specified in the Fabric Club. This is most applicable to the Thimbleberries projects. Occasionally, the recommended fabric is not available and a substitute fabric (same color different pattern) may be used.

If I cut something wrong, what happens?
We will be happy to replace any BOM fabric piece if you miss cut it, within 90 days of original ship date. Just contact us by E-mail and tell us what project, month, and piece you need. No questions asked.

How do you keep the price so reasonable?
Patterns usually call for an ample amount of fabric. We have made every block with how much fabric you really need. That's how we keep the price so reasonable. You will receive (and pay for) only what you need to make the block.

How will I be billed each month?
Payment is made monthly by credit card only. Your card will be kept securely on file and charged only when the project is shipped. The shipping charge for each Block of the Month will be added and Finishing Kits are shipped weight sensitive.

Can I stop the program I'm enrolled in?
You may stop the auto shipment of BOM or Fabric Clubs at any time. Just let us know before the next ship date. Since Thimbleberries Club is a membership, no membership refunds are available. Subscriptions that were paid annually will be recalculated at the regular monthly rates for the number of months enrolled and the difference refunded.

What if I'm not satisfied with a project?
We don't expect that you will be dissatisfied with any of our projects or fabric selections, but if you are, return the entire project kit, un-cut and/or un-sewn, within 60 days for a complete refund.

Will the BOM project be complete after the 12 months?
After you have completed the # of blocks required, a finishing kit to complete the project will be included and billed with your final month.

Can I pay by Check or PayPal?
Due to our automated credit card billing system, payment by check or PayPal is not available for our subscriptions based BOM or Fabric Clubs.

How long am I a member of a Fabric Club?
Unless stated in the description, all our fabric clubs are continuous which means they will go on indefinitely. You may cancel your subscription or we reserve the right to discontinue a club at any time.

What happens if my project is lost in the mail or missing, what can I do?
You must contact our office within 60 days of the ship date to receive a replacement at no charge. After this time, replacement kits may be re-ordered for original cost depending upon fabric/pattern availability.
