BLUE PLATE SPECIAL

Blue Plate Specials originated in the 1930's when diner restaurants used the plates to promote their daily specials of meat & vegetables. Manufactured during the Depression, these plates were sectioned, disposable & available only in blue! Measuring 38" x 50", this Blue Plate Special quilt is a fat quarter friendly design featuring blue plates full of assorted applique foods, with a few items "spilled" on the table. The fabrics used in our quilt are from the Ginger Jar Collection by Timeless Treasures Fabrics & Kyle's Marketplace from RJR Fabrics.
