    BABY'S HANDS

This pattern includes two baby quilts based on paper pieced Flying Geese. Measuring 28" x 30", the Goslings doll quilt was made by Shirlene Wedd. She based her design on an antique top a friend found in New England that had been quilted around 1900-1920. We loved the tiny geese alternating with a checkerboard strip. Measuring 44" x 52", the Baby Hand's crib quilt features appliqued hands traced from a family member or our pattern. Shauna Christensen's inspiration was a baby quilt in the collection of the Kansas Museum of History in Topeka that had been made around 1878. We guess the hand to be the size of a three year old & thought this quilt would be an excellent gift for a second child. We hope you agree! Designed by Karla Menaugh
