Wool/Penny Rug Patterns

Penny Rugs are yet another form of applique, commonly using wool scraps. Wool felt, flannel and felt can also be used. Finished projects can be framed or used as decorative rugs.

Bonnie Sullivan of All Through the Night has dozens of patterns available. They range from Patriotic, to Holiday, to Seasonal. There’s a pattern for Christmas Stockings and one for a Snow Angel. And you’ll love her Itty Bitty Button Pictures . . . six cut designs that finish at 4” X 6”.

Tara Lynn Darr of Sew Unique Creations has a primitive Saint Nick, a couple of cheery, adorable snowmen and several beautiful floral designs with lots of detail.
